Work Experience Applications
Does the Manningham City Council offer Work Experience?
A very limited number of Secondary School Students have the opportunity to obtain Work Experience at Manningham City Council (MCC) as part of their educational requirement. Students must apply in writing by answering the questions below and by attaching a cover letter and a resume to this application. The applications will then be forwarded to the relevant Unit Manager who will decide if the student's request can be accommodated.
What type of students are eligible to participate in the Manningham’s Work Experience Program?
MCC’s Work Experience Program is available only to secondary school students provided that it forms part of their education program.
How will you be advised if I have received an offer?
MCC receives a large number of work experience/work placement applications. Unfortunately we are only able to accommodate a handful of those applications due to a number of reasons.
If you are successful, you will hear from us within 15 working days after the submission of your application.
If you do not hear from us during the above period please consider your application as unsuccessful.
If a placement can be offered, will I be paid during work experience?
Secondary school students receive a minimum payment of $15 a day, under the Victorian Work Experience Arrangement.
